Description
(For enhancing and stimulating the cellular immunity)
COMPOSITION:
Immunofin is a pure natural drug containing highly effective herbs such as Echinacea, Yarrow and few other herbs. The drug formulation has an intelligent thought in its background so that its components strengthen and amplify each other’s therapeutic effects in a synergistic manner. The drug contains herbal ingredients such as polysaccharides (Arabinogalactan, Xyloglycan, Echinacin), glycosides: Caffeic acid and its derivatives (Cichoric acid, Echinacoside), Alkaloids and Alkylamides. Most important ingredients of the drug belong to a family of natural compounds called Alkylamides. Some of them in Immunofin formulation are Isobutylamide and Methylbutylamide. Other components of the drug with significant immunomodulatory effects are Chicoric acid, polysaccharides such as Echinacin, glycosides; Echinacoside and terpenes such as Citronellol (aka Dihydrogeraniol), Humulene and Caryophyllene.
MECHANISM OF ACTION:
Alkamides are among the active substances in the Echinacea, capable of inhibiting both the cyclooxygenase and lipoxygenase pathways in epithelial cells and immune cells. These pathways play an essential role in the biosynthesis of inflammatory prostaglandins, such as PGE2. Therefore, inhibiting these pathways leads to halting the production of prostaglandins (PGs). The inhibition of PGs will grant more freedom and activity to a type of powerful killer cells called Natural Killer (NK) cells. The NK cells first detect then kill the abnormal or dying cells or germs/microbes by releasing high amount of toxic molecules nearby the target cell. Moreover, Echinacea contains oligomeric substances called polysaccharides (PS). Among the PSs, Arabinogalactan can directly activate a series of special receptors on the surface of innate immune cells (e.g. macrophage), which are responsible for the detection of microbial patterns (PRR). Therefore, the microbial signal is transmitted by the receptors to the intracellular sensors and leads to activation of innate immune cells and stimulates them to produce abundant amount of inflammatory cytokines such as IL-1 and TNFa. These cytokines recruit various types of immune system cells to the site of inflammation and activate the phagocytes and killer cells (NK cells).
THERAPEUTIC FEATURES:
Immunofin stimulates strongly the Cell-Mediated Immunity (CMI) as one of main parts of immune system which therefore participates in induction of a good level of protection after vaccination. Immunofin can activate both lymphocyte types; T and B and therefore can stimulate the B cells to produce abundant amounts of immunoglobulins, mainly IgG.
INDICATIONS:
Immunofin is used as an effective immunostimulator and preventive agent against viral/bacterial infectious diseases. It is recommended to be used at first 3 days of growing period, or at least 24 hours before/after vaccination.
TARGET ANIMALS:
It can be administered for a variety of birds, including chicken, turkey, quail, partridge, and others. es; T and B and therefore can stimulate the B cells to produce abundant amounts of immunoglobulins, mainly IgG.
INSTRUCTIONS TO USE: Please mix 1 liter of drug per 1000 liters of drinking water and use daily for 8 hours according to expert (doctor of veterinary medicine) supervision.
CONTRAINDICATIONS: Not to be used in conjunction with drinking vaccines.
CLINICAL TRIALS:
The results of the clinical trials on Immunofin are as follows: The figure depicts the serum IgG antibody level after Newcastle disease vaccination in turkeys (20-42 day old). The graph shows results of a comparison between the birds administered with Immunofin and those received commercial probiotics.
