📄Description

Immunofish is a pure herbal medicine made up of active ingredients from some of the most valuable herbs (mainly Echinacea) with the goal of maximizing immune system functions in fish. Alkylamides of Echinacea inhibit cyclooxygenase and lipoxygenase pathways involved in biosynthesis of inflammatory prostaglandins, giving more freedom to Natural Killer (NK) cells to target infected/cancerous cells. Arabinogalactan polysaccharides can directly bind and activate pattern recognition receptors on innate immune system cells (macrophages), mimicking bacterial structure to activate phagocytes and produce inflammatory cytokines (IL-1, TNFα). Alkylamides can directly bind to CB2 receptors on lymphocytes, leading to activation of NF-kB and triggering of AMPK, MAPKs, and calcineurin pathways, resulting in transcription of cytokine genes. Clinical trials showed increased lysozyme activity levels and serum bactericidal/killing potency in treated fish. Use 1 liter per ton of feed for one week each month during the growing period.

⚙️Mechanism of Action

Alkylamides inhibit cyclooxygenase and lipoxygenase pathways reducing inflammatory prostaglandins, freeing Natural Killer cells to target infected cells. Arabinogalactan activates pattern recognition receptors on macrophages, mimicking bacterial structure to activate phagocytes and produce inflammatory cytokines. Alkylamides bind CB2 receptors on lymphocytes, activating NF-kB and triggering cytokine gene transcription.
