📄Description

Antibiofish is a pure natural drug composed of highly potent therapeutic ingredients formulated with advances in herbal medicine, combining various therapeutic effects in a synergistic manner. Thymol and Carvacrol are terpenoid phenols now accepted in EU standards as effective antimicrobial agents but harmless for humans. The hydrophobic and lipophilic nature of these molecules makes them very reactive to bacterial membranes. They penetrate the membrane of bacteria leading to release of cellular components and bacterial cell death. Key advantage: no development of antibiotic resistance. Can enhance growth and reproduction of beneficial bacteria. Clinical trials on rainbow trout showed impressive results - fish treated with Antibiofish at 1-5 g/kg feed for two months then infected with Yersinia ruckeri showed 0-5% mortality compared to 100% mortality in untreated controls. Post-infection treatment also showed 0-5% mortality vs 100% in controls. Mean death count in Antibiofish treated fish was significantly lower than control fish (P < 0.05).

🧴Application Method

Mixed with Feed

Benefits

  • Inhibits growth and reproduction of bacteria
  • Inhibits pathogenic fungi
  • Effective in gastrointestinal tract and on dermal layers
  • Acts as effective growth promoter
  • No emergence of resistant strains
  • Clinical trials: 0-5% mortality vs 100% in controls

📋Usage Instructions

Prevention of fungal and bacterial diseases (effective against gram-negative bacteria especially E. coli, Salmonella, and some gram-positive bacteria), prevention of antibiotic resistance, phytogenic growth promoter, improving intestinal microbial flora and growth index, reducing mortality

🐾Target Animals

Fish (all aquaculture species)

⚙️Mechanism of Action

Thymol and Carvacrol (terpenoid phenols) penetrate bacterial membranes due to their hydrophobic and lipophilic nature. This leads to release of cellular components including toxins and other harmful substances leaking from damaged membrane, resulting in bacterial cell death. No development of antibiotic resistance.

💊Dosage

Therapeutic

1-2 cc per kg of feed
