For one-day-old chicks
Researchers believe that the manner of nutrition in chicks immediately after transport to farm

can leave positive impact on the performance of the herd.
Egg contains the entire types of necessary elements for the growth of fetus in chicken incubator

except for oxygen that reaches through surface pores of egg. A little yolk and egg white which are

used at the end of incubation period by fetus remain inside abdominal cavity and constitutes about

%10 of the weight of the new-born chick. There is a direct relationship between the remaining

nutrients in the yolk sac and the growth of the chick after hatching.
Today with decreasing in duration of breeding period, attention to first week nurturing broider

cheeks has more significant. The ratio of the first week period to the entire period of nurturing has

surged to more than %15 and by a decrease in the duration of nurturing in future this percentage will

increase steadily.
Due to the feedstuff deficiency specifically in the second phase of laying egg in which the flock gets

older, hatched chicks suffer from one or more kind of nutrient shortage.
Most chicks between 48 to 72 hours (2 to 3 days) remain without feed and water. Recent research

has shown that in order to have a healthy chicken, it is imperative that water and other feed would

be provided for chickens.
Regarding to mentioned, the importance of immediate nutrition for broiler chicks have been proved.

If chicks don’t have enough water and feed at first time after hatching, this makes the herd with

variation weights.
On the other hand, it is proven that feed stuffs which exist in the yolk aren’t completely able to meet

the nutritional needs of the chick after hatching. For this reason preventing feeding chicken up to three

days after hatching can reduce their growth up to thirty percent during the first four weeks. This matter is a significant
influential factor in the flocks performance and nowadays it is viewed as one of the key factors in the

irregularity of growth in broider chicken flocks.
Preventing the flock to get access water and feed after transferring to saloon have adverse effects of

insufficient feed intake lead to the weight loss, increase FCR and variation of weight in the flock. Surely

bad effects will be more in earlier hatched chicks.
Also, we know that maternal antibodies are transferred to the chick through yolk. These antibodies

can prevent the diseases on condition as soon as possible specially during first forty eight hours.
On the other hand, the antibodies will immediately enter the bloodstream when the yolk is rapidly

absorbed. Chicken yolk absorbed in the shortest time after eating water and feed which also confirms

the role of the primary nutrition of chicks.
We formulated the necessary feed gel for chick during transportation to the farm. This compounds

formulated to prevent the imbalance of electrolytes and the lack of feed.
The vitagel with supplying chicks, including water and other nutrients, use in special transport cartons

or use after transfer chicks to saloon in first 3 days.
Since the main purpose of formulating of vitagel is supply the necessary nutrients during the first hours

of life, so we called feed transport gel.
